French retailer Carrefour is expanding its travel booking service to Belgium tomorrow, 1 December. However, unlike in France, customers will only be able to book their holidays online or over the phone: the retailer will not open physical travel agencies in Belgium.
Varied offer for everybody
A fortnight ago, Carrefour announced that it would also offer a travel service in Belgium. With the news of the official launch, the supermarket chain now also provided more details regarding the new service.
In its own words, the retailer wants to “make the best accessible to everyone by proposing a diverse offer: city trips, all-inclusive holidays, ski trips, holiday homes, campsites and a car rental service.” Customers will immediately be able to choose from forty destinations.
In France, Carrefour has been selling holidays for some time, also through physical agencies. There will be no such agencies in Belgium: the entire offer will be available through a French and a Dutch website. Reservations can be made online from tomorrow and soon also through a call centre.
