After a forced break last year, the RetailDetail Night made a powerful comeback on 25 November. The combination of solid content and a unique networking event did not appear to have run out of steam, even with Covid restrictions.
A sold out congress
Five hundred participants + 28 speakers + three locations = one end-of-year event for the retail sector: although it remained uncertain for a long time whether, and in what circumstances, the RetailDetail Night could take place, we can now look back on a more than successful afternoon and evening. After consultations with our partners, sponsors and speakers, we decided to proceed with the event – albeit with the necessary precautions – and it proved to be the right decision: the event was sold out, and the atmosphere was delightful.
The public clearly had an appetite for sharing knowledge and meeting colleagues from the industry. That was made possible during three supporting programmes: The Future of Food, Gamechangers and the Consumer Activation Forum. The evening programme at a packed Horta hall featured the presentation of the Brochure of the Year Award, which went to Aldi, and the retail year overview with Gino Van Ossel. Jorg Snoeck also took the opportunity to address the attendants before Raf Van den Heuvel, General Manager of Albert Heijn Belgium, gave us a comprehensive presentation – and a scoop for the audience.
Although networking at RetailDetail’s own event location had to take place with the necessary caution, it was nonetheless a great highlight. On our Facebook page, you can find the pictures of the event. Mark your calendar: next year RetailDetail Night will take place on Thursday, 24 November.
We want to thank all the speakers once again and also our sponsors: Xplore Group, BD myShopi, Centric, The House of Marketing/Upthrust, HighTouch, Hubo, Signify, Play It, M-Cube, Stibo, Coca-Cola, Jet Import, Duvel Moortgat and Alcobrands.
