Twice as big as closest competitors
The French magazine has listed French online sellers based on turnover and concluded that the SNCF managed the largest turnover through its website. In 2013, the railway company managed a 3.4 billion euro turnover, 3 % higher than the year before. Vente-Privée came in second with 1.6 billion euro, a nearly 25 % increase, and number three was Cdiscount with 1.4 billion euro, up 10 %.
Internet Retailer recently divulged a top 500 of Europe’s largest online retailer with Amazon unsurprisingly at number one, closely followed by German Otto Group and British Tesco.
