Delhaize has terminated its Red Market discount chain in Romania. After only two years, the eleven stores are incorporated in Delhaize’s Mega Image.
This operation allows the Belgian group to simplify its advertisement and logistics operations in the East-European country. The eleven stores will now also offer a wider range of products with an additional 1500 references – including many private label products like Delhaize’s 365 brand.
Mega Image was founded in 1995 and has seen an enormous expansion this year, with 14 new supermarkets lifting the total to 72.
