Up to 350 brands
By the end of the year, the luxury web shop should even boast between 300 and 350 brands. To achieve that, it will apply the marketplace model: partners only have to provide customer shipping, while payments and other things will be handled by the website, according to Twinkle.
Style.com’s product range will be closely linked to the larger fashion magazines. First of all, it will collaborate with Vogue and GQ, but it should add products featured in Glamour, Condé Nast Traveller, Brides, Tatler, Vanity Fair and Wired, which all happen to be magazines belonging to publisher Condé Nast.
Magazine readers will be able to click items in the website’s articles, giving them more information and a Style.com buy button. Condé Nast will invest some 100 million dollars (91.25 million euro) in the next two to three years into Style.com.
