“Strong competitor”
“The market structure is similar to that in Germany”, says co-managing director Mirko Caspar in a press release. “We are therefore optimistic that our elaborate experiences will enable us to become a strong competitor in the Dutch market very fast.”
Mister Spex has a specialized tam on standby in Berlin, ready to help customers with their purchases through phone and email. It will also open a Dutch hotline, while customers can still trial their purchase for 30 days and, if necessary, send it back for free.
Mister Spex has web shops in Switzerland, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, its home country of Germany, to which it now adds a Dutch-focused web shop. Its 2014 turnover reached 65 million euro, helped by its 2013 acquisitions of Swedish web shops Lensstore and Loveeyewear.
