Discover new trends
For the next three years, Ahold will support several companies when it comes to eCommerce and retail. In return, Startupbootcamp will give it insights into new eCommerce trends and other innovations.
The first 10 companies that were selected for Startupbootcamp E-commerce hail from Portugal, the Netherlands, Israel, the Czech Republic, Greece and the United Kingdom. Bol.com and Albert Heijn experts will now assist these companies as they seek to grow online.
“We are very enthusiastic about this partnership with Startupbootcamp E-commerce, because thanks to their creativity and flexibility, these young companies can quickly see what the consumer and the business world needs and can easily get their inventions commercialized. At the same time, these companies can inspire Ahold to keep developing as an omnichannel retailer. Our mentors can help promising startups with their wealth of experience both in eCommerce and traditional retail”, Ahold CCO, Hanneke Faber, said.
Ahold is a wonderful company that has given young companies like Peapod and bol.com the chance to develop even more, which is an inspiring example for all of our competitors. The start-ups can strengthen and grow their business, while Ahold can keep in touch with the start-up environment”, Startupbootcamp’s co-founder Patrick de Zeeuw said.
