Belgian supermarket group Delhaize has announced it will rearrange its board of directors. New CEO Xavier Piesvaux has appointed four new people to the rank of senior vice president.
Familiar names and newcomers
Those four are Françoise Burlet (customer operations); Marc Debussche (product, quality, marketing and store concept), Kris Van Strydonck (strategy, network development and e-commerce) and Els Steen (legal Belgium and Central and Southeast Europe). Thierry De Vleeschouwer will become CIO for Belgium and Central and Southeast Europe.
Dieter De Waegeneer (the new senior vice president for people & organization and sustainability) has worked for Delhaize for a decade and used to handle human resources and social affairs. Siger Spaans will head the finances department, after having worked for Ahold Delhaize for seventeen years already.
