The Netherlands will welcome a range of new ice cream parlours, just in time for the summer: American ice cream formula Baskins-Robbins will open its first Dutch store by the end of next month and targets three stores by the end of the year.
Ice cream at home, in the parlour or the supermarket
Baskin-Robbins is an affiliate company to Dunkin’ Donuts, which also entered the Dutch market last year. The ice cream brand’s fame is mostly limited to the United States, although it is also active in Spain and England.
The ice cream manufacturer wants to target different channels in the Netherlands: its own store network will sell ice creams, milkshakes and ice cream cakes, but it will also serve hot beverages, pancakes, waffles and other pastries. Baskin-Robbins also wants to distribute its products in supermarkets and wants to use meal delivery services for ice cream home deliveries.
It has not yet revealed where it will open its first ice cream parlour at the end of April, but it does target three locations by the end of the year. Baskin-Robbins expects to have ten to fifteen stores acroos the Netherlands in the long run.
