Liquor manufacturer Lucas Bols’ turnover has grown 23.8 % in the first six months of its broken fiscal year, to 48.8 million euro. Aside from 0.5 %, the entire growth is thanks to liquor brand Passoã’s integration.
Passoã does it all
In the first six months of its broken fiscal year 2017-2018 (from 1 April until 30 September), Lucas Bols generated a 8.7 million euro net profit (up 12.4 %). Its 23.8 % turnover increase to 48.8 million euro is almost entirely thanks to the addition of popular liquor Passoã.
Rémy Cointreau moved its Passoã activities to Lucas Bols in December 2017 and it seems that collaboration is now paying off. The liquor brand is currently sold in more than fourty countries and contributes a large part of the group’s global turnover growth, which stands at + 35 %.
For the second part of the year, Bols is optimistic: in Western Europe, the United States, Asia and the emerging markets, it forecasts a further turnover increase.
