Ahold Delhaize has appointed Natalie Knight its new Chief Financial Officer. She will succeed Jeff Carr in March 2020, extending her career beyond dairy producer Arla Foods and Adidas.
As of March 2020
Knight becomes Executive Vice President Finance straight away, and and at the next Annual General Meeting she will also be appointed Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee. As of March 2020, the American will replace Jeff Carr, whose term as CFO of the supermarket group ends in April. Knight is still CFO at the Danish dairy multinational Arla Foods, best-known for its Icelandic skyr yogurt. She previously worked for seventeen years at sports label Adidas.
At Arla Foods, her tasks were mainly focused on digital transformations and the implementation of a manufacturer’s efficiency programme, while at Adidas, she was responsible for the acquisition of Reebok and “major cross-functional cost reductions”, among other things. The fact that Knight will also focus on savings at Ahold Delhaize cannot be ruled out.
“With her broad experience in various financial domains, her commercial mentality, and her proven leadership in cost reduction and business transformation efforts, she is the right leader to help Ahold Delhaize accelerate its Leading Together strategy”, CEO Frans Muller said.
