Terry von Bibra, who has headed the European branch of Alibaba since 2016, has left the company. It is not yet sure who will succeed him.

A spokeswoman for the Chinese web giant has confirmed Von Bibra’s departure, says TextilWirtschaft, but no reason was given. The company limited itself to saying that they were grateful for the “great four years” Van Bibra spent at Alibaba and that they wished him all the best for the future.
Von Bibra joined Alibaba in 2015 and was initially only responsible for Germany. In 2016, he took over the management of the European branch of the company. Before that, he was Chief Retail Officer at Karstadt, having previously worked for Yahoo! and Amazon.
