Hema has signed a contract for a 545 sqm store in Madrid, in a street that harbours other clothing stores like Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear and Zara.
After its first Spanish store, Hema quickly wants to move to that other large Spanish city, Barcelona. It is considering a location on or near the Ramblas, right in the heart of the city.
The chain had just announced it would open two stores in London, with the ambition to open dozens of stores in the capital before heading out into the rest of the country.
