Delhaize announces a number of changes in the composition of its Executive Committee. Two new names make their appearance.
“Further execution of strategy”
Chloe Thoelen joins as Senior Vice President Strategy, e-Commerce, Data & Business development as of 1 January 2021. She has worked at Delhaize for more than 11 years, mainly in financial roles.
Els Steen, currently Senior Vice President Legal, will become Chief Legal Officer Ahold Delhaize for Europe & Indonesia and will leave the Executive Committee of Delhaize as of January 1, 2021.
Current CFO Siger Spaans will leave Delhaize and will be replaced by Hadewych Vermunt as of July 1, 2021. Vermunt worked at Unilever, Ahold, Albert Heijn and for the past two and a half years at Mega Image in Romania.
With these changes, this will be the new composition of the Executive Committee:
Xavier Piesvaux – CEO Delhaize
Dieter De Waegeneer – EVP Operations
Alexandros Boussis – SVP Commerce, Marketing, Digital & Merchandizing
Sebastien Cools – CIO Belgium & Central and South-Eastern Europe
Illya Van den Borre – SVP Human Resources & Corporate Affairs
Chloe Thoelen – SVP Strategy, e-commerce, Data & Business Development
Hadewych Vermunt – CFO
