Internal promotion
Deckers Outdoor Corporation, which owns brands like UGG and Teva, has promoted Gianni Georgiades from within its own ranks up to the position of managing director of the EMEA region. Up until now, he held the same position for the United Kingdom.
Prior to his accession to Deckers Outdoor Corporation in 2010, he had worked for DSquared2, Maison Martin Margiela, Ungaro (international sales manager for the United Kingdom and Northern Europe) and J. Lindeberg (commercial director).
Deckers Outdoor Corporation, founded in 1975 in the United States, currently owns 6 brands: Ugg, Teva, Sanuk, Tsubo, Ahnu and Mozo, but obviously it gained worldwide notoriety when Uggs became an international trend.
