Luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana is denying rumours that it is negotiating with French group Kering. Instead, CEO Alfonso Dolce hopes for and “broader Italian project”.
Focus on internal growth
In an interview with Reuters, Dolce was adamant: “I can absolutely deny it,” the top executive said when asked the question. He added that his brand should focus on internal growth, brand positioning and the development of new product categories, but did not rule out the possibility of being part of a “broader Italian project” that would bring together different Italian brands.
Last month, it was also reported that Kering had approached Richemont, but the Swiss group had also rejected that interest.
