The RetailDetail Day, the annual marketing conference for the retail industry, is back with a great and varied line-up this year. Sustainability and inclusion are the programme’s central themes, and we are now announcing the first speakers.
Remarkable stories
Please mark your calendar for Thursday 16 September: RetailDetail Day, the marketing event for the retail industry, has reached its eighth edition – with another exciting programme. We leave the Covid disaster behind us and look to the future of retail: it will be sustainable or not be at all.
The name change of the world’s best-known rice brand is controversial. It is more than just a new name: Ben’s Original is launching a new brand mission to create opportunities that provide a seat at the table for everyone. With Anja Spielmann and Sébastien Gelsomino, producer Mars Food sends two international speakers to tell the story.
Smart marketing
Three years ago, Dobbi started as a laundry and dry cleaning service for consumers. Today, the platform is profiling itself as a partner for fashion retailers who want to become more sustainable. After the Netherlands and Belgium, the rest of the world should follow. How Dobbi can help fashion retailers on their way to a circular model will be explained by founders Maurits Tiethoff and Ruben van Pelt.
And anyone who thinks that textile discounter Zeeman is only about low prices is wrong. The price fighter has won the support of hipsters thanks to clever marketing with a twist. Moreover, sustainability is high on the agenda: the retailer takes steps to purchase responsibly, launched a gender-neutral collection last year and recently entered the second-hand market. None other than CEO Erik-Jan Mares will shed light on the matter. Not to be missed!
Networking at last
However, the list does not end there: we will soon be announcing a second series of names, and those too will be big names. The knowledgeable moderator will, of course, be retail expert Gino Van Ossel from Vlerick Business School.
RetailDetail Day will take place on Thursday, 16 September, at the RetailDetail event location in Shopping Stadsfeestzaal on the Meir in Antwerp. It will be a hybrid event: participants can choose to watch the conference live on-site – finally networking again, in Covid-save conditions! – or follow the live stream remotely. Here you can order tickets and find more information about the programme. We will see you there!
