British Asian-inspired restaurant chain itsu is opening a new branch at Brussels Airport in partnership with Autogrill. It is the first restaurant on the European mainland.

The new restaurant has a surface area of 166 m² and is located in Terminal B of the airport. In a normal year, this terminal receives about 4 million passengers.
Customers can consume meals on site – there are 46 seats – but there is also a wide range of takeaway meals for those who want to eat elsewhere or take food on board.
“We are delighted to launch our fantastic brand and food in continental Europe in partnership with Autogrill. The prestigious location at Brussels Airport will introduce travelers from all over the world to the itsu experience,” said itsu founder Julian Metcalfe.
Autogrill, the global operator in food & beverage services for travelers, will be itsu’s first franchise partner in continental Europe. “We know that airport passengers like to enjoy a relaxed dine-in experience but equally want to take a delicious and nutritious meal with them on the way to their flight. The itsu model allows us to cater for all those customer needs,” explains Stan Monheim, COO of Autogrill Rest of Europe.
