Belgium and Netherlands
Kef van Helbergen has become Makro Netherlands’ CEO from 1 June onward and will combine that position with a newly-created position within Metro Group: regional operating officer Benelux. These positions will give him responsibility over Belgium and the Netherlands. His previous engagements were at Real in Poland, which is also part of Metro Group.
Charles Kay, the previous CEO for Makro Netherlands, will move into a new position as Metro Cash & Carry’s new managing director in Denmark, a position he already held before he became Makro Netherlands’ CEO when he took over from Jean-Pierre Bienfait.
