C&A is going to sell part of its collection on Amazon‘s fashion platform. The cooperation starts in Germany, but will soon be rolled out to other European countries.
Strengthening online presence
Since today, C&A starts selling a selection of essential items for women, men and children on the amazon.de platform. Soon these collections will also be available on the Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish websites of Amazon. The cooperation with Amazon Fashion is part of C&A’s omnichannel strategy: the fashion retailer wants to strengthen its online presence.
“Amazon is becoming an increasingly important fashion destination for consumers in Europe. It is important for us that we serve consumers and help them find the best of C&A, especially when their journey starts with Amazon Fashion,” says Joris van Rooy, Chief Digital Officer at C&A Europe.
Fashion is a key growth area for Amazon. The Amazon Fashion platform aims to be a one-stop shop for clothing, shoes, jewellery, watches, handbags and luggage from established and emerging brands for every budget. Prime members can take advantage of an exclusive ‘Try Before You Buy’ service, where they can try before they buy. Amazon also recently opened its first physical fashion stores.
