After just three years, CFO Natalie Knight is leaving Ahold Delhaize. As Knight returns to the United States, the Dutch supermarket group is looking for a successor.
Applicant wanted
Knight started as CFO at Ahold Delhaize in March 2020, after stints at dairy producer Arla Foods and Adidas. She is returning to the US after a career of more than 25 years in Europe. Knight is “pursuing another career opportunity” there, Ahold Delhaize announced in a press release.
CEO Frans Muller admits that “her time at Ahold Delhaize has been short”, but says that Knight has still had a positive impact on the company. In particular, she is said to have improved reporting and communication within the finance department. She has also shown a passion for sustainability and diversity, which she managed to instil in others as well.
Knight still has a six-month notice period to serve, during which time she will also be involved in the search for a suitable successor. Ahold Delhaize has already launched this search.
