Carrefour is extending its purchasing power actions in Belgium: the French supermarket chain freezes the price of 100 products for 100 days. Moreover, the campaign also features an initiative to make certain fruit and vegetables cheaper.
Another 100 days
Last summer, Carrefour Belgium started a campaign focused on the cost-of-living crisis, with as one of its spearheads a price cap on 100 products for 100 days. This action ended mid-January, but Carrefour has now announced to repeat the action for another 100 days (until 23 April). A few of the products featured in the action are bananas, vanilla shower cream Carrefour Soft and make-up pads.
The price cap is the most eye-catching part of the campaign, but not the only one. At the same time, Carrefour’s Belgian branch also launches a “Five fruit and veg for under 1 euro” action, with which the chain wants to promote healthier eating habits to its customers.
