Ahold Delhaize has chosen a new CFO: Jolanda Poots-Bijl, previously active in the construction sector. The CFO will succeed Natalie Knight after the summer.
“A seasoned CFO”
The shareholders of Ahold Delhaize are asked to approve the appointment of a new CFO. Jolanda Poots-Bijl will join the company in mid-August as Executive Vice President Finance and member of the Executive Committee. She will take up her position as CFO on 1 October, after an initiation period. The current CFO, Natalie Knight, will leave the company at the beginning of July.
Poots-Bijl joins from offshore construction company Van Oord, where she had been CFO since 2016. She previously worked for IT service provider Ordina and construction company Volker Wessels, among others. Jolanda Poots-Bijl has also served on the board of Blokker in the past.
CEO Frans Muller calls her an “seasoned CFO” with “a passion for digital transformation and sustainability”. “She has a track record of shaping strategy, and will drive implementation from a strong functional leadership position, without losing sight of the operations of our great local brands,” says Peter Agnefjäll, chair of the supervisory board.
