No Carpetright competition
Martin Harris has already stated he does not intend to compete directly with Carpetright. His new company will focus on the higher echelons of the market and is designed to fill the void between Carpetright and the more upmarket brands.
His goal is have some 200 stores varying in size between 185 abd 1,000 sqm, both in cities and on the fringe, within 5 years’ time.
He has also said he will be able to draw on his 23 years of experience to give consumers something they are looking for and has also hired Harry Djanogly, who also used to work for Carpetright (1993 – 2005).
