Belgian fruit and vegetable processor Greenyard has crossed the threshold of five billion euros in sales for the first time, thanks both to price increases and increased volume.
Huge profit increase
Turnover rose 9.5 % to 5.14 billion euros, mainly thanks to price increases of 7.3 %. Yet there was also volume growth (2.7 %). Net profit rose by 63 % to 15.2 million euros. CEO Francis Kint, who succeeded co-CEOs Hein Deprez and Marc Zwaaneveld in January, said in a press release that he is very proud to achieve such results in a challenging environment.
In its forecasts, Greenyard is looking two years ahead: by 2026, sales should rise to 5.4 billion euros, while AEBITDA should further increase from 186.5 million to above 200 million euros by then.
