Gap’s exclusive addition to Zalando is part of a new strategy, which should help evolve Zalando into an online platform instead of just being a store. Helping major brands to quickly launch their own store is Zalando’s path into getting similar deals done in the future.
American Gap, founded in 1969, currently has more than 3,250 stores worldwide. The family of the company’s founders (Donald and Doris Fisher) still control large parts of the company.
