More store openings planned
Action has already opened seven stores in Belgium this year, but will still open several more in the upcoming months. The Belgian Action stores generated a 292 million euro turnover last year, about a fifth of the total 1.506 billion euro revenue. The store chain opened 108 new stores in 2014, 25 of those in Belgium. “Action has become a household name in Belgium”, Action Belgium’s general manager, Bart Raeymaekers, rejoices.
The company also has 50 stores in Germany and 69 in France, but its home market the Netherlands still houses the vast majority of Action stores, with 327.
