‘Ambition and strategy’
The Italian chain has 29 stores in the North of Italy, which contribute
to a yearly turnover of just under 200 million euro. Self was formed in
1984 as the result of the modernisation of a 19th century timber chain.
Bricoalliance welcomes Self as “a very ambitious company with a specific
but successful strategy”.
Self is the second chain to join Bricoalliance in 2012, after Byggmax
from Sweden earlier this month. Last year, Estonian Bauhof, Russian
Metrika and Turkish Tekzen also joined the group, which also consists of
Belgian Hubo, Spanish BricoKing, Dutch Multimate and Polish Nomi.
