Peeters-Govers, Albert Heijn’s largest franchiser in Belgium, has sold its wholesale branch Délidis to Colruyt Group. The Antwerp-based company wants to focus on its retail business.
Growth potential in B2B
To be precise, it is Colruyt Group’s foodservice branch Solucious that is acquiring Délidis, a supplier of fresh products to professional catering customers in a large part of Northern Belgium. Owner Peeters-Govers says its retail operations are currently in a strong growth phase, which requires its full focus. It has therefore decided to sell Délidis for 100 % to Solucious.
The Délidis acquisition is in line with Solucious’ ambition to grow within the hospitality sector: Colruyt Group sees a lot of growth potential in the B2B market. Both brands will continue to exist separately, with all 83 employees remaining at the site Gierle (near Turnhout).
