Like-for-like turnover grows
Ontex’ total turnover reached 852.8 million euro in the first 6 months of 2015, a 5.3 % growth compared to last year. Like-for-like turnover in this time frame grew 4.4 %, the exact same number as the second quarter turnover increase. Second quarter like-for-like turnover growth was slightly lower, at 3.6 %. For its full year, Ontex hopes to grow its like-for-like turnover 4 to 6 %.
Ontex’ profit on the hand grew more about 5 times compared to the first half of 2014: from 11.9 million euro to 56.9 million euro, mainly thanks to lower resource prices, which have helped grow margins. That is exactly why Ontex forecasts weaker results for its third quarter.
