Sensors inside the shirt
Ralph Lauren had already announced the innovative shirt last year, to coincide with the US Open at Flushing Meadows. The brand collaborated with hi-tech OMsignal to create the new product, which has built-in sensors that can track the heart rate, breathing rhythm, numbers of steps taken, distance, calories and stress levels.
This information is then sent real-time, through Bluetooth, to an app and turned into several graphics so that owners of the shirt will be able to track their athletic behaviour instantly.
