International expansion
Habitat’s total turnover has dropped from 104 to 102.5 million euro in the first 9 months. Particularly French results were disappointing: the company is still looking for a way to lower the costs even further.
The franchise stores however has seen its turnover increase 67.9 % to 16.6 million euro, which is why the company will keep focusing on that particular market. It will also turn its attention to an international expansion, as it wants to open stores in China, the Philippines and Switzerland (among others) by the end of the year.
Habitat is part of the Cafom group, which also owns the Vente-unique.com web shop and DirectLowCost.com. Those managed a 12.7 % turnover growth to 61.2 million euro.
