French retail group Fnac Darty says it has completed its transformation plan successfully, ending 2024 with a stable turnover and an increase in operating profit. Now the company seeks further growth in Italy.
“Successful transformation”
Last year, Fnac Darty’s turnover rose by 0.2 % (on a comparable basis) to almost eight billion euros, while operating profit grew by 6 % to 182 million euros. The company outperformed the market in France, which accounts for more than 80 % of total group turnover, with a sales increase of 0.3 % – while the sector as a whole shrank by 2 %, according to figures from the Banque de France.
