That means it is not a complete bio burger yet, which has its reasons according to the McDonald’s Germany’s CEO, Holger Beeck: “A complete bio burger is not possible considering the amount of ingredients we need, but we’ll see. McDonald’s continues to amaze”, he says.
McDonald’s has been preparing a new hamburger in Germany for a while now: all 1,500 restaurants had to get a certificate and the company had to find a supplier who could handle the large amounts it would require.
The American company has lately produced more sustainable products: it announced earlier this month that its American and Canadian restaurants would now use free range eggs.
