Growth outside the Benelux
IK Invest paid some 350 million euro for the acquisition, more than 10 times Salad Signature’s EBITDA. Its new owner seeks growth outside of the Benelux for a company with a 176 million euro turnover and 490 employees.
Johma was founded in Twente (the Netherlands) in 1962, but almost perished in 2009. Gilde Equity Management bought it from its British owner Uniq, then made a major acquisition in Belgium and sold it to AAC Capital. With its most recent sale, Johma is now once again in the hands of a foreign owner.
