100 million euro turnover
Belgian Greenyard Foods will buy Lutèce from the Dutch Coöperatieve Nederlands Champignonskwekersvereniging (the Dutch organization for mushroom farmers), but no actual fee was disclosed.
In 2015, Lutèce managed a 100 million euro turnover, with an EBITDA of about 2.3 million euro, with 190 employees.
With this latest acquisition, Greenyard Foods is continuing its expansion in the fruit and vegetable industry after it merged with Univeg and Peatinvest. The combination of these three companies will have a 3.7 billion euro turnover, making it the worldwide market leader. All three companies are under control of Belgian entrepreneur Hein Deprez.
