Japanese clothing chain Uniqlo announced it will head to the French city of Lille before the end of the year. The fashion company has even made a Facebook page, although it still has to reveal the exact location of the store.
At the L’Huitrière location?
Uniqlo already has 10 stores in France, mainly in Paris, but this news confirms it will definitely add a new store in Lille before the end of the year. Early last year, Uniqlo launched a Facebook page for a Lille-based store, which remained inactive until early this year. In one of its posts, it mentions a store opening in the final quarter of 2016.
It has yet to reveal the location, but rumours mention it may set up shop where the L’Huitrière restaurant, which will shut down at the end of February, is currently located (rue des Chats-Bossus). However, if that is the case, then it will be a smaller store than usual with its 500 sqm. The location’s owner says no deal has been signed with a new rental party yet.
