Agricultural and garden supplier Aveve has appointed Eric Lauwers, currently active with AB InBev, as its new CEO. He will succeed Hendrik Soete, who will enjoy his retirement from July onward.
Has been with AB InBev for 15 years
Lauwers is business unit president Benelux at the Belgian-Brazilian brewer, after having led AB InBev’s Benelux and French activities for 5 years. In November 2015, it was revealed he would leave the company after 15 years for a position as Aveve’s new CEO, it now turns out.
Aveve is the most important agricultural and garden supplier in Belgium, but it is also known for its Aveve stores all across the country. It employs about 1,800 people and is fully owned by MRBB, the Boerenbond’s financial branch with a 1.3 billion euro turnover.
