British fast food formula Leon is to open its very first Dutch restaurant in Schiphol, the national airport. Not only is it the very first Dutch store, it is also Leon’s first store outside of the United Kingdom.
Fast and fresh
HMSHost will manage the restaurant at Schiphol and serve the exact same dishes that can be found in the chain’s English restaurants, like Super Food Salad, Fish Finger Wrap and the Meatball Hotbox. The target is to provide fresh meals rapidly, while collaborating with local companies, a goal it also has for the Netherlands.
Leon, founded in 2004, opened its first restaurant in London and shortly after, British paper the Observer deemed it the best new restaurant in the United Kingdom. Ever since, the chain has experienced a rapid expansion in England, where it currently has 34 restaurants.
The Schiphol restaurant is Leon’s first step towards an international expansion, with other restaurants to follow in other European cities later on.
