Google started rolling out its Shopping-tool in the Netherlands today. The new service enables customers to compare product prices between different web shops. Google challenges local services Kieskeurig.nl and Vergelijk.nl with its new service. Google claims to offer more opportunities for merchants to adapt their offering within Google Shopping.
Dutch daily De Telegraaf ran a test of the new service and found out Google as yet does not offer the amount of shops and products its competitors have in their databases. The new Nintendo 3DS was used in the test.and was often found by Google Shopping, but not always indentified as the same article.
