Just a year after Media-Saturn launched the Biwigo.de web shop, mainly focused on household appliances, it decided to shut it down again. All customers will now be diverted to Redcoon.
New type of web shop
All orders that were placed prior to the closure, will still be handled and shipped. However, customers will have to talk to Redcoon if they have an issue with their order or product.
Media-Saturn says it originally launched Biwigo to trial a new type of web shop. It used advisors to assist customers in their purchase process. The goal was to add video tutorials as well.
Media-Saturn’s Electronics Online Group, a newly formed division focused around Redcoon, was asked to create several niche web shops, but now that Biwigo is gone, that plan seems to collapse.
