Through its subsidiary Vente-Exclusive.com, Vente-privee has acquired a majority stake in Danish Designers & Friends. The goal is to strengthen Vente-privee’s position in Scandinavia.
Expansion in Northern Europe
Designers & Friends’ current board will stay on after the acquisition: “We are very excited to collaborate with the creators and global leaders in the concept of flash sales”, Designers & Friends’ CEO and co-founder and co-founder Frederik Kolenda said. “Their experience will allow us to move at a faster rate in terms of development, while improving the quality of our service.” Designers & Friends also hopes to expand even further, also in new product categories, and to sell its partner brands all across Europe, thanks to this deal.
Vente-privee on the other hand seeks continuous growth, both autonomously and externally through acquisitions. “The acquisition of this sales platform demonstrates our long-term vision and marks a first step in our expansion in Northern Europe”, CEO Jacques-Antoine Granjon said.
