In the first half of its fiscal year 2016, HelloFresh managed to more than double its turnover compared to the year before, but on the other hand, its losses also doubled.
Faster grower within Rocket Internet
In total, HelloFresh managed a 291.5 million euro turnover in the six months leading up to 30 June, up 159 % compared to the 112.5 million euro from last year. However, it also suffered a 52.9 million euro loss, compared to the “mere” 28.5 million euro loss from last year.
Out of every one of Rocket Internet‘s companies, HelloFresh achieved the highest turnover growth, but it is also the only core company whose losses continued to grow, whereas every other core company managed to lower its losses.
All in all, Rocket Internet still suffered a 617 million euro loss in the first half of the year, with the majority from a 383 million euro devaluation on its stake in Global Fashion Group. HelloFresh’s parent company maintains that three of its 4 major divisions will turn a profit in 2017.
