AB InBev will create its very own chain of pubs, focused on its American craft beer Goose Island. The first one will open its doors later this year in London and Belgium will follow suit next year.
Rapid expansion
Goose Island Vintage Ale House is the first feat from AB InBev’s newest division, targeting specific brand experiences. The Belgian-Brazilian brewery means business because the goal is to have a rapid expansion of the chain of pubs. The first one should be open before Christmas in Balham (South-East London), with a second pub in the city soon after. Once those have opened, Belgium is the next to get such a pub, but a location has not been revealed just yet.
Goose Island was founded in Chicago in 1988, but is an AB InBev brand since 2011 after the company paid 39 million dollars (36.2 million euro). Ever since, AB InBev added a whole range of smaller craft beers to its portfolio.
