Danish Lego Group appointed Bali Padda as its new CEO. Currently the company’s COO, he will assume his new position on 1 January 2017, succeeding Jørgen Vig Knudstorp.
14 years of experience
Bali Padda has been with Lego Group for 14 years and has been in the company’s management for the past 10 years, currently as COO. “Bali Padda has a fantastic track record in the LEGO Group with more than 14 years of experience. […] I am confident that Bali will continue to develop the company in close cooperation with management”, chairman Niels Jacobsen said.
Jørgen Vig Knudstorp will not leave the company entirely, but will become the Lego Brand Group’s new head. Kirk Kristiansen, part of the founding family, created the new division to further expand the Lego brand’s potential. “With our recent growth and globalisation come new and exciting opportunities for the brand, and we establish the LEGO Brand Group to look into these new opportunities”, Thomas Kirk Kristiansen said.
