Zalando is to launch a new service, which will send a tailor to the customer’s house to adjust clothing from online orders. The Order a Tailor service is one of the ideas from Zalando’s hack weeks.

During a ‘hack week’, young entrepreneurs get the opportunity to present new projects to Zalando. The “Order a Tailor” service won a Nikola Tesla Award for most innovative project during Zalando’s most recent hack week. The winners have now been informed their idea will actually be turned into one of Zalando’s services.
At first, it will be trialed in Berlin: customers that order a suit can choose to book a tailor’s visit and he will adjust the suit if necessary. The service is yet another addition to Zalando’s range of services. For instance, it just launched its Sunday delivery service trial in Belgium.
