Korean Samsung‘s CEO, Kwon Oh-hyun, mentioned that growth in several important markets has slowed down somewhat. He also said the company will undergo changes, to avoid possible disasters like with the Note 7.
Invest in new technology
The CEO talked about all of this during his annual speech for the company’s employees. He also touched on the Note 7, which had to be called back after a lot of the devices overheated. The company already spent about 5 billion euro on what has been a total marketing disaster.
According to the CEO, the company will need to implement changes and focus on high-quality products once more. He also pointed out that the competition has grown faster because they did invest in innovative technologies. “It will take the collective efforts of all employees to overcome the daunting challenges ahead of us. Let’s leverage our full set of capabilities as a company to confidently and definitively rise above these challenges”, Kwon Oh-hyun said.
