The world’s largest fast-food restaurant chain focused on Mexican food, Taco Bell, will open its first Dutch location later this month in Eindhoven and the chain should have about 20 restaurants over the next four years.
First Dutch restaurant in Eindhoven
The very first Taco Bell in the Netherlands will be right in the heart of Eindhoven. To create a connection with the region, one wall will feature art from local designers and the restaurant itself will have an “urban design” and Californian influences. In total, 80 people can sit in the restaurant, enjoy free wifi and charge their phone or laptop as they eat.
“We are looking forward to bring our bold flavours and fresh ingredients to the Netherlands”, Taco Bell’s Dutch franchisee, Andrew Stewart, said. “We already have loyal fans here and that is why we think this is a golden opportunity for Taco Bell. We are excited to bring the Dutch consumers “Más Taste, Más Value and Más Heart (more taste, more value, more heart).”
Aiming for 9,000 restaurants worldwide
With its expansion to the Netherlands, the Mexican-styled fastfood chain is continuing its international growth. Currently, it has 300 restaurants across 26 countries, not including the United States, but its goal is to add 1,000 restaurants over the next 10 years, once again not including the United States. It hopes to boost its market value to 15 billion dollars and increas its restaurant network to 9,000 restaurants worldwide by 2022. It will not even take Taco Bell that long to expand in the Netherlands either, because before the end of the year, several new restaurants will open all over the country.
Its menu mostly contains Tex-Mex classics, like tacos, burritos and nachos, but it will add a new type of quesadilla for its Dutch launch and a a fres “Pico de Gallo” salsa..
