Fashion brand Stefanel opened its first Belgian store in Antwerp, located in the Hopland shopping street. The move is yet another step towards the Italian brand’s expansion into Northern Europe and the Benelux.
Strategic location
“We consider Antwerp to be a strategic location to further develop our brand in the region“, Stefanel said. “Antwerp is a center for avant-garde fashion and an incubator for new trends. We consider Antwerp to be a strategic location to further develop our brand in the region.”
Stefanel was founded in Italy in the 1950s and excels with its jersey and wool-based collections.
It employs about 1,200 people and opened its first Benelux store in 2012, in Amsterdam. Back then, it already expressed an ambition to expand across the region.
