On 15 April, Michael Specht will become German Beate Uhse’s new CEO and COO at the same time. Cornelis Vlasblom will still be CFO.
Management shuffle
These changes should mark the end of the board’s many shuffles: Nathal van Rijn stepped down as CEO in January after a mere three-month stint and COO Dennis van Allemeersch, who temporarily took over as CEO, did not get a contract extension.
Specht has plenty of experience: he was Starbucks Germany’s CEO and sporting brand Puma’s sales director. Now, he will be asked to guide Beate Uhse back on track. Pabo and Christine le Duc’s parent company has been in turmoil for a long time, with waning turnover as a result.
However, there have been attempts to restructure the company, including store closures and an online focus, but those were insufficient to get Beate Uhse back on its feet.
